Introduction Towards the end of April 1975 a contract was placed with Messrs Vosper Thornycroft Ltd. for the construction of the first ship of a new class of Mine Countermeasures Vessels. This ship will be named H.M.S. Brecon and the class name will be Hunt Class. The
