Strength criteria for ships can be established by ultimate strength studies of progressive collapse analysis of finite element models under different boundary conditions with combined geometric and material nonlinearities. Load-Displacement and/or Moment-Curvature curves can be generated and the ultimate load causing failure identified as a multiple of the design load. Ultimate limit state analysis can be carried out for various combinations of parameters to identify the ultimate load factor in each case. 000011103 542__ $$aCC-BY-4.0 000011103 7001_ $$aSathish Kumar, S$$uOman Drydock Company 000011103 773__ $$tConference Proceedings of ICMET 000011103 773__ $$jICMET 2019 000011103 8564_ $$92acda645-ca4b-4178-b219-98341b88232a$$s1537201$$uhttps://library.imarest.org/record/11103/files/Paper%2011%20-%20Ultimate%20Limit%20State%20Analysis%20of%20Ship%20Structures.pdf
