To carry out the analysis of resistance and wake patterns, Maxsurf Modeller and Resistance were used. Six examples of bow design types currently in use were modelled. The investigation showed that X-Bow vessels produce almost half the amount of resistance as other common bow types. This most efficient bow design is then scrutinised for its possible use in military applications. 000010667 542__ $$fCC-BY 000010667 6531_ $$aNaval Architecture 000010667 6531_ $$aResistance 000010667 6531_ $$aBow 000010667 6531_ $$aWake 000010667 6531_ $$aShipping 000010667 6531_ $$aMaxsurf 000010667 7001_ $$aArcher, C$$uPrincess Yachts / South Devon Marine Academy 000010667 773__ $$tConference Proceedings of INEC 000010667 773__ $$jINEC 2022 000010667 85641 $$uhttps://www.imarest.org/events/category/categories/imarest-event/international-naval-engineering-conference-and-exhibition-2022$$yConference website 000010667 8564_ $$97d08f2f4-28f8-4dcb-9b40-df4926921ba4$$s325166$$uhttps://library.imarest.org/record/10667/files/INEC_2022_paper_2.pdf
